About this work

Fireworks in honor of the coronation of Willem III and Maria II as King and Queen of Great Britain, 21 April 1689. Fireworks by the English merchants in Amsterdam set off from several boats on the water in front of the Kloveniersdoelen in Amsterdam. The quays, windows, and roofs are full of people. Marked in the upper right: N. 10. Part of the large plate with ten numbered scenes of the fireworks set off in honor of the coronation.
