The fire in the Old Town Hall of Amsterdam and some adjacent buildings on 7 July 1652. To illustrate the old and new methods of fire fighting. On the left, an attempt is made to extinguish the fire with buckets and ladders; on the right, the fire is fought with fire engines. With a four-line inscription in Dutch and French.
