Jacob Enriches Himself with Sheep from Laban's Flock

About this work
Jacob has peeled branches placed in the drinking troughs of the sheep to ensure that the white sheep bear spotted young. With this he deceives Laban who agreed with him that he will receive all spotted animals as wages (Gen. 30:37). He watches how the sheep eat the branches. In the margin a two-line inscription in Dutch.
