About this work
This board game presents a pictorial narrative of Dutch history across eighty fields, from the arrival of the Batavians to the swearing of the oath by the Schutterij in Utrecht in 1786. Not only events but also portraits of important figures are included. In the center, as the game's goal, the Kweekschool voor de Zeevaart (Maritime Training School) in Amsterdam, founded in 1785.
