About this work

A woman sits as an allegory of Faith and Piety beside two stone tables with the Ten Commandments on them. A halo of rays is visible around her head and in her right hand she holds a palm branch. Several books lie behind her. A putto crowns her with a laurel wreath and with her foot she tramples another putto lying next to a bag of money.
