Allegorical portrait of Prince Maurice. Large oval propaganda print about the victories of Prince Maurice in the years 1593-1600, culminating in the Battle of Nieuwpoort, July 2, 1600. In the center a portrait of the prince surrounded by a chain formed by the coats of arms of the conquered places. Concord and Prudence hold a laurel wreath above his head. In five small scenes the conquests of Geertruidenberg (1593), Groningen (1594), Turnhout (1597), Sint-Andries (1600) and Nieuwpoort (1600). Further scrollwork, armorial trophies and the captured Spanish flags. In the four corners verses of four lines in Latin. At the bottom left and right the Dutch lion with (left) the bundle of arrows and (right) sword, lance with liberty cap. Also the coats of arms of the prince and of the States-General.
