Madonna and Child

Mary sits with the Christ Child on her lap, both are crowned. Kneeling on either side of Mary and the Child are a man and a woman. The woman is crowned by the Christ Child with a crown of thorns, the man receives a rosary from Mary. Surrounding the quartet are medallions with biblical scenes. Centrally at the top is a dove, the Christian symbol for the Holy Spirit. In the margin is a five-line inscription in French.
