About this work

The Fat Kitchen. Interior in which a group of fat people indulge in all kinds of food and drink. On the right, cooking and roasting takes place in the fireplace. In the foreground on the left, two children playing with food and in the middle a drinking woman who is breastfeeding a child, on the left a drinking monk or priest. In the background, a poor lean man with a bagpipe is being driven out of the door. With an inscription of two lines in French and two lines in Dutch. See pendant.
