About this work
Kitchen interior where a group of fat people indulge in all kinds of food and drink. On the right, cooking and roasting takes place in the hearth. In the foreground on the left, two children playing with food, in the center a drinking woman breastfeeding a child, on the right a drinking monk or priest. In the background, a poor thin man with a bagpipe is driven out the door. Below the image a two-line verse in French and Dutch.
