About this work

Two depictions on one sheet. Above: the personification of the French Reformed Church, the Huguenots, is attacked by a wild man with a whip. This takes place with the approval of personifications of the French monarchy and the French Catholic Church. Below, a narrow depiction of the persecution and expulsion of the Huguenots.
