About this work
Christ sits with bound hands on the edge of his tomb. He wears the crown of thorns and holds the reed in his hands. His crucifixion wounds are clearly visible. Behind him the cross, surrounded by cherubim. In the frame in the margin a two-line inscription in Latin.
