About this work
Vanitas representation in the form of a woman, dressed in costly clothing, admiring herself in a hand mirror, with a little dog on her lap and a monkey at her feet. On the table next to her jewelry and a board game. Through the window behind the lady, a putto climbs in with a scroll on which is written 'VANITAS VANITATUM, EST OMNIA VANITAS'. Below the representation two lines of text in Latin.
