Allegory of Vigilance, 1795. Liberty seated in the Dutch Garden, protected here by the personification of French military power. Also a crane and the Dutch lion roaring at masked enemies. Outside the enclosure a naked mother with children (Love) and a sleeping shepherd. In the background a tent camp of the civic guard.
