About this work
Two cartouches on one sheet. The left cartouche contains a representation of the liberation of Andromeda by Perseus; the right cartouche shows how the liver of Prometheus is picked out by an eagle. Hatched background. Sheet from a series consisting of a title page and 15 of the 16 sheets with cartouches containing biblical and mythological representations in a frame of strapwork and grotesques.
