About this work
A still life with a hand puppet in the form of a fox performing the 'spring horse dance'. Also depicted are leaves wrapped in straw and a sake bottle on which a red cup stands in a pink cloth. These are attributes for the Hatsuuma festival, which is celebrated in honor of the god of rice, Inari, usually depicted as a fox. With four poems.
