About this work
Two nobles in court dress greet each other. Through the open doors a second room is visible in which two seated nobles. The Collection of Sand and Pebbles (Shasekishû) is an anthology of 134 humorous Buddhist stories, compiled between 1279 and 1283 by the monk Mujû (1226-1312). With one poem.
