About this work

Daniel accuses the elders that they have lied and falsely accused Susanna of adultery (Daniel 13:50-59). This is a violation of the Eighth Commandment: "Thou shalt not bear false witness". In the background their punishment: they are both stoned to a stake. The print has a Latin inscription. The print series depicts the Ten Commandments through scenes from the Old Testament.
