About this work
Daniel accuses the elders of lying and falsely accusing Susanna of adultery (Daniel 13:50-59). This is a violation of the Eighth Commandment: "Thou shalt not bear false witness". In the background, their punishment: they are both stoned to a pole. The print has a Latin inscription. The print series depicts the Ten Commandments through scenes from the Old Testament.
