About this work
In an oval frame an image: Phaëthon drives in the sun chariot. Above him the signs of the zodiac. Phaëthon cannot keep the horses in check and the sun chariot skims closely past the earth, causing drought. In the oval frame a Latin text. The print is part of a series depicting the story of Phaëthon.
