About this work

Three scenes from the life of Ignatius of Loyola. During his journey through Spain, Ignatius visits his birthplace Azpeitia. To the left in the print, Ignatius begs in his own village. In the background, he preaches to a large crowd. To the right, he heals the arm of a washerwoman. The print has Latin inscriptions referring to the scenes in the print. The print is part of a fifteen-part series on the life of Ignatius of Loyola.
