About this work
A garden with recreating men and women. In the center stands a fountain with a merman and snakes. Surrounding the scene is an ornate frame with draperies, rocailles, half-figures, helmets and shields, musical monkeys, dolphins, cornucopias, and a bust of Venus. In the lower margin, a two-line French and German text.
