About this work
The Adoration of the Magi. On the right, Mary and Joseph with the Christ child stand before the three kneeling kings. In the center, an angel holds the star that guided the wise men to the child. On the left, the retinue of the kings arrives with gifts. Surrounding the scene are rocaille ornaments. In the lower margin, twice a seven-line German and Latin text.
