About this work
Court garden with court pavilion in the foreground. Scattered over the print are pairs seen walking together. In the foreground a meal is enjoyed by some pairs in a pavilion. On top of the pavilion a statue of Fortuna is placed. Servants start with dishes. A dog (symbol of love) plays with a courting pair left of the pavilion. The series shows different aspects of courtship and some examples from the Old Testament.
