About this work
Court garden with large fountain in the foreground. Scattered over the print are pairs seen walking together. In the foreground different men and women play with the water of the fountain. They make each other wet. A dog (symbol of love) plays along with them. Other pairs watch and point at the spectacle. The series shows different aspects of courtship and some examples from the Old Testament.
