About this work
Cartouche with a motto in Greek, a dedication and an eight-line text, in Latin. In the border inscription of the frame a Bible quote from Ps. 90 in Latin. The cartouche is surrounded by four putti who symbolize the four seasons; which here may be connected with the life cycle of man. Title print for a series of six with the Ages of Man.
