About this work
Various scenes depicting the love of children for their parents, or the absence thereof, are combined in one representation. Bottom right the story of Cimon and Pero, in the middle a man making a feeding trough for his father, and corrected by his little son, left a young couple sending an old man away from the table, on the roof a bird feeding its young, in the background Aeneas saving his father from burning Troy. With explanation in Dutch.
