About this work

The Bride of Christ (the Church) in a bed with a canopy. The canopy is supported by the cardinal virtues. At the foot of the bed is a depiction of the Judgment of Solomon. Above the head of the bride is Christ in a cloud. Around the bed are figures from the Old Testament. In the background, through a doorway, the Bride of Christ can be seen searching for her beloved in the city. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Song of Solomon 3:1. This print is part of an album.
