About this work
Upon Elisa's arrival, Gehazi closes the door of the room on the right. The parents of the deceased boy remain outside the room. On the left, Elisa prays to God with raised arms. In the center, he stretches himself over the dead boy, mouth to mouth and palms to palms. Thus Elisa brings the boy back to life. Below the depiction a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in 2 Kings 4:34. This print is part of an album.
