About this work
As the ship on which Jonah has fled threatens to sink in a storm, Jonah is chosen by lot as the guilty one. He is thrown overboard by the crew. In the foreground, the fish swims, which will swallow Jonah. Below the image, a Latin reference to the Biblical text in Jonah 2:15. This print is part of an album.
