About this work
When the ship on which Jonah fled threatens to sink in a storm, Jonah is chosen by lot as the guilty one. He is thrown overboard by the crew. In the foreground swims the fish that will swallow Jonah. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Jonah 2:15. This print is part of an album.
