About this work

Christ, standing on the left, tells the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. On the right the tax collector kneels penitently in the temple and asks God for mercy. At the altar in the background the Pharisee prays, thanking God that he is not like the tax collector. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Luke 18:10. This print is part of an album.
