About this work
Joseph stands before Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, and explains his dreams. In the background stand the magicians and scholars of Egypt, who could not interpret the dreams. On the right in the background, Pharaoh is sleeping in a tent. The dreams are depicted at the level of the tent's roof; on the left, the seven fat and seven lean cows, on the right, two sheaves of grain. Below the image, a Latin reference to the Biblical text in Genesis 41. This print is part of an album.
