About this work

On the bank of a river, the apostle Paul addresses the women of the city of Philippi, who have gathered there to pray. One of the women, Lydia, has herself (right in the background) baptized together with her household. On the left in the background, Paul drives a spirit out of a woman. Paul and Silas are then arrested and receive blows with sticks for disturbing the order. Below the image a reference in Latin to the Bible text in Acts 16:14. This print is part of an album.
