About this work

Left: Patriarch Reuben, the eldest son of Jacob, in a landscape with an ox and a kid beside him. In his left hand a jug. Right: Patriarch Simeon, the second son of Jacob, in armor in a landscape. Behind him lie the corpses of Shechem and two of his men, whom Simeon together with Levi had killed as revenge for the dishonor of his sister Dinah. Below the representations a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Gen. 49. This print is part of an album.
