About this work
To the left, patriarch Reuben, the eldest son of Jacob, in a landscape with a cow and a kid beside him. In his left hand, a jug. To the right, patriarch Simeon, the second son of Jacob, in armor in a landscape. Behind him lie the bodies of Shechem and two of his men, whom Simeon, together with Levi, had killed as revenge for the dishonor of their sister Dinah. Below the images, a reference in Latin to the biblical text. The print is part of an album.
