About this work

In the center a penitent accompanied by Divine Mercy (Misericordia Dei) towards the personification of Repentance (Poenitentia), who sits on a throne under the Tetragrammaton. Sin (Peccatum), a devil with goat's legs, tries to stop Divine Mercy. Title page of a series on penance and repentance in the Old and New Testaments, with a Latin inscription and caption.
