About this work

On the left in a niche, the female personification of Peace (Pax). On her left hand sit some doves. In her right hand, a sword and a rod (war and tyranny) which she removes from the earth. On the right next to her in a niche, the female personification of Trust (Fiducia). In her hands, a heart (love) and a staff with an outstretched hand (friendship). The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a series that connects various virtuous allegories with each other.
