About this work
On the left in a niche stands the female personification of God's Providence (Providentia Dei). In one hand she holds a ruler and a balance. In the other hand a snake with an apple in its mouth. On her breast the moon and the sun. On her head she wears a crown of stars. In a niche on the right stands the female personification of Justice (Justitia). In one hand she holds a branch, in the other an open book. At her feet lie masks. This print is part of an album.
