About this work

Sheet printed with text on both sides, an engraved initial H and a cartouche depicting the Battle of Belgrade during the capture of the city by the imperial troops under the Prince of Savoy against the Turks, 16 August 1717. On the verso, a vignette with the three Furies (Bernard Picart 1727). Sheet (pp. 127-128) from the first volume of: Jean du Mont, Military Description of the Battles and Sieges of the Three ... Widely Renowned War Commanders... Prince Eugene of Savoy, the ... Duke of Marlborough, and the Prince of Orange and Nassau-Vriesland, in the 1729 edition. This first volume is dedicated to the deeds of Eugene, Prince of Savoy.
