About this work

Sheet printed with text on both sides, an engraved initial Z and a cartouche depicting the Battle of Senta (Zenta) on the Tisza River in Serbia on 11 September 1697 between the Turks and the imperial troops under Prince Eugene of Savoy. Sheet (pp. 1-2) from the first volume of: Jean du Mont, Military Description of the Battles and Sieges of the Three ... Widely Renowned War Commanders... Prince Eugene of Savoy, the ... Duke of Marlborough, and the Prince of Orange and Nassau-Vriesland, in the 1729 edition. This first volume is dedicated to the deeds of Eugene, Prince of Savoy.
