About this work
The prophet Elijah has been brought to the king by Obadiah, the steward of King Ahab; he addresses Elijah with the words: 'Are you he, Elijah? You who have brought trouble upon Israel?'. Elijah explains that the king himself has brought his people into trouble by worshipping false gods. On the right in the background, Obadiah is seen bowing before Elijah as soon as he recognized him. Below the image a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in 1 Kings 18:1. This print is part of an album.
