About this work
After being thrown from the window and falling dead, Jezebel's body is devoured by dogs before the city gates. Jehu, the new king of Israel, watches the scene with his soldiers. Below the image a reference to the biblical text in 1 Kings 21 in Latin. The print is part of an album.
