Ahasuerus gives his ring to Haman

King Ahasveros gives his signet ring to Haman, with which Haman can have his plan carried out in the king's name to have all Jews put to death. In the background the decision is proclaimed. A small group of Jews sits mourning with ash on their heads. To the right Queen Esther in her chamber where she gives a servant the order to bring clothes to Mordechai so he can wear them instead of his mourning clothes.
