About this work

The Ruin of the Roman Colosseum. In the center of the Colosseum, a statue of Jupiter. Fights are taking place. In the foreground, Emperor Vespasian on horseback. He had ordered the construction of the Colosseum. In the front left, a relief with Romulus and Remus being suckled by a wolf. Below the image, a verse in Latin. This print is part of an album.
