About this work

Men and women kneel and pray the first line of the Lord's Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. In the clouds, the Trinity is shown with God the Father depicted as the tetragram: his name. On earth, it is shown that believers perform works of mercy: feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, visiting the sick and prisoners, clothing the naked, receiving strangers, and burying the dead. Below the representation, the first line of the Lord's Prayer in Latin and a reference to the Bible text in Matt. 6:9. This print is part of an album.
