About this work
Christ is nailed to the cross while onlookers watch (Luke 23:33). The two thieves are also bound to their crosses. In the background, the weeping Mary is comforted by John and Mary Magdalene. The print bears a Latin inscription and is part of a series on the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Christ.
