About this work
Christ has died on the cross. Mary, together with John and Mary Magdalene and two other women, mourn him. In the background, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus arrive at Golgotha. The print bears a Latin inscription and is part of a series on the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Christ.
