About this work

Pedestal in the form of a cartouche. On it, a medallion with on the front the portrait of Gregorio Barbarigo with a cardinal's hat. On the back, the pope places the cardinal's hat on Gregorio's head. The pedestal is flanked by the personifications of Ethics and Authority or Dominion. Ethics has a level and a tamed lion. Dominion has a scepter and fasces in his hands. The print is part of an album.
