About this work
Pedestal in the form of a cartouche. On it a medallion with on the front the portrait of Marco Barbarigo with a doge's hat. On the back the doge receives an Ottoman delegation on his throne. On the pedestal lies the personification of Peace with a palm branch and an olive branch in her hand and a cornucopia under her arm. With a torch she sets a pile of weapons on fire. She also holds a wolf and a sheep tied together. The print is part of an album.
