About this work

Pedestal in the form of a cartouche. On it a medallion with on the front the portrait of Marco Barbarigo. On the back the doge's hat is placed on his head. With the text: Dux I. Publice Datus. The pedestal is flanked by two female personifications. On the left sits possibly the personification of Peace, with an olive branch. She holds a command staff in her hand. On the right stands Goodness next to a young tree, with a wreath on her head and in her arms a nest with a pelican and her young. The print is part of an album.
